Image

Limp and splayed they found her,

cheek submerged,

so still,

swallowed by a tub of mirrors

– slipping, sliding, sinking

beneath the watery shelf.

Resist the darkness,

a plead of drowns,

clamber to the light,

UP, UP, UP,

but she’s gone.
